Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

Posted on: August 11th, 2010

September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and Chicago Prostate Cancer Center (CPCC) is working hard to encourage men over 50 to get an annual PSA screening. 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, yet prostate cancer is highly treatable if caught early. Chicago Prostate Cancer Center will be running a new TV spot and is offering a handy “Understanding Your PSA” guide.

Chicago Prostate Cancer Center will also be holding its semi-annual free comprehensive prostate cancer screening event for those who have not been diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday, September 17, 2010 at CPCC.  Please call 630-654-2515 for an appointment.

In addition, meet comedian Tom Dreesen!  A Chicago native and avid supporter of prostate cancer awareness, Tom will be available for a meet and greet at Chicago Prostate Cancer Center on Friday, September 17.
